Heather A. Bartel, Esq. is a Partner with Squillace & Associates, P.C., a boutique law firm in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, focusing her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust settlement, and trust administration. Heather also leads the firm’s post-mortem settlement and trust administration practices.
Prior to joining Squillace and Associates, P.C. in 2017, Heather was an associate with a boutique trusts and estates firm in Boston where she supported the business, tax, and estate planning group and focused on estate planning and estate administration. She also previously worked at U.S. Trust Company as a Trust Administrative Officer, developing extensive experience in trust administration.
In 2019 and 2020 Heather was recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star, an honor awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Heather is a member of the Trusts & Estates Consortium, WealthCounsel, a national association of estate planning practitioners, and the Boston Estate Planning Council, a multidisciplinary estate planning organization, where she serves as Chair of the Women’s Initiative Committee and is former Chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee.
Heather earned her B.A. from Boston University, College of Arts and Sciences, and her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School. While in law school, she served as a Comment Editor on the Suffolk University Law Review and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
